Genesis Of Woman

We can speak about the role of man, the role of women.... We can discuss being a Gentlemen and how we should treat women. I want to take a moment today to discuss Gods original intent for man and woman... Their relationship to each other and to God... I want to minister to the men for a moment as we journey together to become Gentlemen...

Genesis 2:21-25 (NIV) -So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh.Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

     The man said,

   “This is now bone of my bones
   and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
   for she was taken out of man.”

That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

• God pulled woman from Adams rib, his side...Not his behind to walk behind him, not his feet to be trampled on or subjugated to a secondary role. God's intent was for man and woman to walk side by side as they do HIS will. 
• When you harm your wife (or the significant woman in your life) you harm yourself.. (flesh of my flesh... bone of my bone)... Be aware that verbal, physical, psychological abuse of a woman is in FACT destruction of yourself!
• Men need to be men, get out of your parents home.. Financially, Emotionally, Mentally prepare yourself for the woman who will walk with you through life 
• Find BLISS... Adam & EVE walked through the Garden of Eden in bliss... Create that sanctuary in your home where she feels safe and loved...  Make your home your Garden of Eden
• Men hunger to have their rib replaced... we hunger to have that woman by our side... when she's by your side, keep her there... your responsibility is sacred to her. 

This second part is going to break a paradigm that the church has been preaching for over a millennium... It's going to upset some men, and change the way women comport themselves in their relationships and marriages... 

The church has been relentless in force feeding women EPH 5:22 "Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord." and men unfortunately have run with this to subjugate women to secondary roles... Remember however God's original intent in the Garden (SIDE BY SIDE).... It's important to remember as men we have a holy responsibility to our families... We are stewards of the earth as well as our families... WE ARE NOT LORDS OF OUR DOMAINS... our women have an integral role in a successful marriage, home, and children... 

Second... The verse prior to this EPH 5:21 "Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ"... Its important to remember that these verses are under a section that says "instructions for a christian household".... The verse is critical and often the church traditionally & DELIBERATELY misses the point that MEN MUST SUBMIT TO THEIR WIVES AS WELL...  This is somewhat obvious when reading scripture... however the church's agenda is patriarchy, and no one ever questions... We follow without thinking or inspecting scripture for ourselves... 

Please understand, I'm not asserting that the man and woman have equal roles in the home..Man is the head of his home... But with that responsibility.. if your woman isn't walking side by side with you in your decisions, spiritual life, financial life, emotional life, intellectual life.... then you are in fact outside of Gods will. 

Some may not agree with this because you've been told for decades through church teaching that man is the head, women are the weaker vessel, wives submit... bla... bla... bla..... Logic would dictate that this is wrongheaded thinking, doctrinally unsound, and not God's intent... Scripture is real clear and logical in our roles and responsibilities... 

Our families are being destroyed because of machismo... We have women believing that they don't need a man in their lives... We have children running wild.... and we don't value one another... "my people perish for lack of knowledge"... we're dying folks.. and our communities are in ICU.... 

If we don't shift the paradigm, reject church dogma & doctrine and go back to the Word of God in our behavior and respect for each other...we're doomed??
